CEA offers 6-week course for Agriculture Technology Assistant (ATA) and 4-week courses for Agriculture Entrepreneurs as flagship courses. During the training, students are practically learning different modern farming techniques at the Demo Farm of CEA which is equipped with Polyhouse & Net House.
The courses are being offered by Syngenta Foundation India (SFI) based on their successful model implemented in other parts of India. Syngenta Foundation India has been promoting sustainable agriculture by helping resource-poor farmers apply improved farming technologies. SFI is promoting Climate Smart Agriculture Technologies in all the training modules. Several thousand small farmers have increased their farm productivity and as a result shifted from subsistence to prosperity. SFI has successfully implemented Market-Led Extension (MLE) in vegetables in 5 project locations. SFI has started Agriculture Entrepreneur Model since 2014 and trained more than 15000 Rural Youths from 16 different states. Of this, 11000 Rural Youths have started their Agri-Businesses and currently serving more than 13 Lac farmers.
CEA has trained more than 2000 rural youths from different locations and most of them have started their Agri-Entrepreneurship some are placed in different Agri-allied companies and remaining are doing their own agriculture in commercial way.
SFI is in the process to start a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) at ISCE Koregaon Bhima which will be registered under DGCA. Under this RPTO, rural youths will be trained as a Remote Drone Pilot. These trained & certified pilots will offer Drone Spraying services to the farmers from their surrounding villages and earn their livelihood.
It will also offer specialized courses in Drip & Sprinkler technicians, Soil Testing & Analysis, Nursery Management, Post-Harvest Management as well as Short Term courses on Apiculture, Goat Farming, Sericulture, etc.
